I want to thank the Southern California Airedale Terrier Association for giving my the opportunity to judge Your sweepstakes. The venue was impressive next to the Queen Mary and the Long Beach harbor. Although the entry was small it was more than made up for by the quality of the puppies that were beautifully presented. The coats were all good; the top lines were sound; and the handling was excellent. Airedales are improving in their overall quality and soundness. My Best in Sweepstakes had a great head good shoulders and moved beautifully. Both bitches were of excellent quality and there was little to choose between them. My Best of Opposite Sex in Sweeps had a great coat and was well presented and stood up nicely to the dog when sparring.

Thanks again for this opportunity and such a nice venue.

Judging the Specialty, although disappointing in number, the entry was filled with quality.

Winners Dog: Plum Perfect’s Burning Love of Kubi

9 – 12 Puppy Class: Here is a young dog filled with promise. Presenting a square outline, beautiful head and eye, good topline, and on the move presented the same outline as standing. Good mover, both coming and going, and moved in the circle with ease and aplomb.

Reserve Winners Dog: Bristol Aire’s Fun and Games, RN

American Bred Dog Class: Another handsome dog, gave to the Winner’s on head and expression, and did not present the same ease of movement. Will finish easily.

Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex: Jetaire’s Royalcrest

Open Bitch Class: An outstanding Bitch, beautiful in outline both standing and moving. She is a class act, lovely head, eye and ears. Perfect size, her movement was flawless. Easy Champion. When she stood at the end of the lead, took your breath away.

Reserve Winners Bitch: Selkirk Blackjack’s Upper Hand

Open Bitch Class: Another good one, again perfect in size, good head & ears. Moved beautifully, gave to the Winner on the down and back.

Best of Breed: Ch. Stirling Cool Hand Luke

Best of Breed Competition: And cool he is, this one is the King of Terriers. Beautiful head and expression, flawless coat, of the correct texture. Hard to improve anywhere. Won the Breed handily. Was happy to hear that he had won the show on Saturday and was Best Terrier. Happy to say that I had given him the Terrier Group the week before at The Bryn Mawr Show.

So a good conclusion for me, add "the end of a quality wise good entry."
